June is National Iced Tea Month, so to celebrate, we have provided some information on the event and three delicious ways for you to enjoy your summer iced tea.
There are several ices tea recipes, mainly drawn from various cultures and countries depending on what they value most in this international beverage.
Peach Iced Tea Recipe
One of the most unique recipes is the peach iced tea, which incorporates this popular summer fruit into the recipe. Mainly the recipe calls for peach juice and lemon juice to be added into a portion of tea. The mixture is then stirred
thoroughly and the portions depend on your own personal taste. Once the mixture is completely mixed, then it is placed into the refrigerator to cool it.
Southern Sweet Tea Recipe
The southern sweet tea is often considered to have originated in North Carolina. This is the most basic of iced tea recipes. To start, simply boil four glasses of water completely. Once the water is boiled, the next step is to soak tea bags into the water, typically black tea. Once you have made the mixture, the next steps simply to add sweetener and lemon to your own taste and chill the mixture. The southern sweet tea is best served with ice cubes and is a refreshing beverage if prepared properly. In order to make the recipe more unique you can add some leaves of mint to spice up the tea.
Thai Iced Tea Recipe
Thai iced tea is probably the spiciest and strongest of all iced tea recipes. This is mainly because it draws its unique taste not from one but several spices from Thailand. One requires four tea bags of your choice or tea leaves that you often use to make your own normal tea. This should be added to boiling water to make a strong tea mixture.
Then add some sweeteners and condensed milk into the mixture, and mix thoroughly until there are no particles and the mixture is completely smooth. Then add some spices such as mint, almond extract, cinnamon and cardamom. You can serve the Thai iced tea on a tall glass filled with iced cubes.
